Wet and windy at times this week, but very mild.

Today:

Today will again be primarily cloudy and rather wet at times. Periods of rain and drizzle can be expected, this perhaps occasionally heavy, particularly across Cumbria. Not as windy as yesterday but staying blustery and very mild. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

Further rain at times this evening and overnight, however there'll be some drier periods too. Winds easing, allowing fairly extensive mist and fog to develop over higher ground. Very mild. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Wednesday:

Another cloudy and often wet day with rain at times, this occasionally heavy and persistent, especially over the higher ground. Very mild with just a light southerly breeze. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Staying mild or very mild on Thursday and Friday with showers or longer periods of rain, interspersed with brighter spells. Probably drier, brighter and fresher on Saturday. Breezy at times.

Changeable and at times unsettled weather is likely to continue into the start of this period, with low pressure dominating the UK. This means further showery outbreaks of rain at times, though it is likely that western areas will be wettest at first. There could also be some overnight fog, which could be slow to clear through the day. A transition to a less unsettled weather pattern becomes increasingly probable from around the 11th or 12th of the month, making drier weather increasingly common, with winds turning south easterly or easterly. Any rain or showers is more likely to be focused towards the east. Temperatures most likely to be around average through the period, particularly at first, and probably overall.

A greater chance of periods of high pressure bringing more in the way of dry weather, compared to the current weather pattern, which also increases the chances of overnight fog and frost. There will most likely however still be periods of rain, showers, and stronger winds, especially in the west. Weather patterns are very uncertain during late November. Overall, near or above average temperatures are most likely though some colder spells are possible, especially should any prolonged settled spells develop.
