A dry and sunny evening with a freshening breeze. Staying mostly dry, however cloud will gradually increase from the west, with winds strengthening toward dawn. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Tuesday:

Rather windy morning with outbreaks of rain, occasionally heavy. Rain will gradually fade away south and east during the afternoon, but staying rather cloudy. Winds also easing. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Sunny spells and showers, perhaps heavy at times. Some heavier and more persistent rain possible, most likely early Thursday, with more frequent showers Friday. Temperatures near or just above average.

The unsettled weather of previous days is expected to continue at least through the start of this period, with many - if not all - areas seeing showers or longer spells of rain, and occasionally strong winds. At first, wet weather may be focussed across the south of the UK but it looks like this focus will fairly quickly shift northwards during the first few days. Towards the middle of June, there is an increased chance that high pressure will become more dominant, at least in the south. This would result in some longer periods of drier weather, although unsettled spells remain likely. Following a rather cool start to this period, there is a greater chance of warmer spells towards mid-June.

Changeable weather is most likely across the UK with a mixture of Atlantic weather systems moving in from the west interspersed with dry and sunny periods, perhaps with a bias towards longer dry spells early in the period. Temperatures are most likely to be near or slightly above normal, perhaps with some hot spells at times especially across the south.
