A mainly dry day with some bright or sunny spells. Clouding over across Dumfries and Galloway with this afternoon with some patchy rain spreading northeast later. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy this evening with some light and patchy rain spreading northeast for a time. Then drier overnight but rain may linger across the far south. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Friday:

Dry with some brightness across Edinburgh and the Lothians. Cloudy elsewhere with some occasional rain, this dying out through the afternoon. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
