Isolated outbreaks of rain continuing into coastal parts, with perhaps the odd spot of sleet or snow across the Pennines, clearing early afternoon. Otherwise, cloudy and cold, but mostly dry. Maximum temperature 4 °C.
Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:
Cold, breezy and mostly dry with some bright spells through Tuesday and Wednesday. Cloudier into Thursday, and windier with some rain but with much milder temperatures.
