A mostly dry, bright morning with sunny spells. The afternoon will see some bright or sunny spells and scattered showers, some on the heavy side. Quite warm with light to moderate southerly breezes. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Tonight:

Showers becoming isolated this evening then a mainly dry night with long clear spells. Perhaps the odd shower later along the North Sea coast. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Wednesday:

A bright start across Moray but clouding over from the east with some showers and perhaps some longer spells of rain later, heavy at times. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Any rain at first Thursday clearing then sunshine and scattered showers. Mainly dry and bright on Friday and Saturday.

This will mean showers or longer spells of rain will affect much of the UK at times. Some heavy rain or showers are expected in places, most often in the west. Some short-lived spells of drier and more settled weather are also possible at times, especially early and again late in the period, when they may last a little longer. Temperatures will likely be close to average or slightly below overall, but may rise above at times in any drier, sunnier spells.
