Monday will stay dry with bright or sunny spells during the morning. Thickening cloud will spread east and the wind will begin to strengthen during the afternoon. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Tonight:

The evening will be cloudy but dry and windy. A band of rain will spread east from around midnight, clearing again before morning. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Tuesday:

After a brief dry spell scattered showers follow east from mid-morning. It will be another windy day. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Breezy Wednesday with easing winds Thursday and Friday. Scattered showers continue but drier for a time Thursday. Cool.

The unsettled weather of previous days is expected to continue at least through the start of this period, with many - if not all - areas seeing showers or longer spells of rain, and occasionally strong winds. At first, wet weather may be focussed across the south of the UK but it looks like this focus will fairly quickly shift northwards during the first few days. Towards the middle of June, there is an increased chance that high pressure will become more dominant, at least in the south. This would result in some longer periods of drier weather, although unsettled spells remain likely. Following a rather cool start to this period, there is a greater chance of warmer spells towards mid-June.

Changeable weather is most likely across the UK with a mixture of Atlantic weather systems moving in from the west interspersed with dry and sunny periods, perhaps with a bias towards longer dry spells early in the period. Temperatures are most likely to be near or slightly above normal, perhaps with some hot spells at times especially across the south.
