This Evening and Tonight:

Cloudy with outbreaks of rain, some locally heavy, these perhaps becoming more focussed towards the north, with drier interludes in south. A strengthening easterly breeze developing later in the night. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Friday:

A wet day with further heavy and persistent rain, especially toward the north. Some thundery showers affecting southern areas later, mainly near coasts. Strong winds likely. Temperatures remaining mild. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Saturday, cloudy and weakening outbreaks of rain edging south. Brisk winds, feeling chillier. Gradually becoming drier and brighter Sunday. Monday, mostly dry and bright, Breezy and feeling chilly.

Colder conditions, already affecting the far north of the UK are likely to extend south to affect all pasts through the early part of the period. Initially we may see some less cold conditions with some cloud, rain and possibly hill snow affecting parts of the west. It is as this clears later Tuesday that the colder conditions will extend south, bringing some snow showers into northern parts, and the first frosts of the season for many parts of the south. Later in the period there is increasing uncertainty, but a trend towards more changeable conditions is possible, with some rain or showers in places, and perhaps some hill snow at times in the north. Temperatures overall likely to return to near-average.

Whilst the expected weather patterns during late November are very uncertain, there is a greater chance of spells of high pressure during this period, bringing more in the way of dry weather compared to the current weather pattern, which also increases the chances of overnight fog and frost. There will probably still be some spells of rain, showers, and stronger winds though, especially in the west. Hill snow is also a possibility, mainly in the north. Overall, near or slightly above average temperatures are most likely, though some colder spells are also possible, especially should any prolonged settled spells develop.
