Mild and breezy with rain at times next week

This Evening and Tonight:

Some clear spells initially but cloud thickening from the west with outbreaks of rain arriving early Monday morning. Temperatures falling quickly through the evening, perhaps with a rural grass frost, before rising later. Breezy. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Monday:

A mostly cloudy and windy day with a few outbreaks of rain possible, although many areas may remain mostly dry. Some brighter interludes may develop later in the afternoon. Mild. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Cloudy for much of Tuesday and Wednesday with outbreaks of rain, some of these perhaps heavy at times. Some brighter conditions may develop Thursday. Windy throughout and mild.

Changeable and at times unsettled weather is likely to continue into the start of this period, with low pressure dominating the UK. This means further showers or longer spells of rain at times. All parts could see some heavy rain, but it is likely that western areas will be wettest. Strong winds are likely at times, with gales possible in the west. Equally there should also be some drier or clearer interludes, these more prevalent further east. A transition to a less unsettled pattern becomes increasingly probable from around the 9th or 10th of the month, making drier interludes increasingly common. Temperatures most likely to be around average, particularly at first, and probably overall. Should it become more settled, the chance of overnight frosts would increase

A greater chance of periods of high pressure bringing more in the way of dry weather, compared to the current weather pattern, which also increases the chances of overnight fog and frost. There will most likely however still be periods of rain, showers, and stronger winds, especially in the west. Weather patterns are very uncertain during late November. Overall, near or above average temperatures are most likely though some colder spells are possible, especially should any prolonged settled spells develop.
