Azores High 1034 stretches a ridge over southern UK on Thursday while low 1000 develops to the SW of Iceland. This low 1002 tracks east, lying over Bailey at midday on Friday as the ridge across southern UK slips south into France. This ridge declines into Biscay as low 994 continues to track east, lying over Faeroes at midday Saturday. The low 996 extends northeast into Norway on Sunday, while a secondary low centre 994 forms over southern UK. Gales are not expected. Strong winds late Thursday for Forties will gradually ease during Friday morning. Winds will become strong late Friday for Viking, Forties, Cromarty, Forth, Tyne and Dogger and Fair Isle. Strong winds will continue early Saturday and extend east into Fisher and German Bight, then ease for all areas during the rest of Saturday. Strong winds are possible on Sunday for Thames, Dover and Wight. Widespread fog is not expected

Fog is possible for Hebrides, Bailey and Forties on Friday and Saturday
