Any lingering showers will fade through this evening, allowing some clearer spells to develop for all but the far southwest overnight. Remaining widely cloudy here, with rain, drizzle, and hill fog spreading eastwards by dawn. Winds easing. Minimum temperature 15 °C.
Wednesday:
Grey and rather gloomy for Cornwall and west Devon with rain and drizzle persisting through much of the day. Drier and brighter further east, with warm sunshine into the afternoon. Maximum temperature 24 °C.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
A mixture of warm sunshine and a few scattered showers on Thursday and Friday. Cooler and more unsettled from Saturday with heavy downpours carrying a risk of thunder and hail.
