Widely cloudy with rain soon arriving from the west, this heavy and bringing a risk of thunder at times. Increasingly breezy, especially along the south coast. Milder than recent nights. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Saturday:

Wet and windy with widespread heavy, blustery showers bringing some prolonged downpours and the occasional rumble of thunder. Windy, especially along the south coast. Turning drier by the evening. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

A few scattered showers but plenty of sunny spells on Sunday. Warmer next week, but with patchy light rain spreading across the hills on Monday and Tuesday. Winds easing.

By Thursday, temperatures are likely to be trending upwards with the potential for very warm or even hot weather to develop, particularly in the south and east. From around the weekend of the 14th and 15th, high pressure is likely to start to have more influence. This would bring periods of fine and dry weather, especially in south. Temperatures most likely above average with more hot spells possible.

Mid-June will probably see a good deal of dry weather across the UK due to the influence of high pressure, especially in the south, although some thundery outbreaks are still possible. Toward the end of June and start of July, details are uncertain but conditions may become more changeable with some periods of unsettled weather. Above average temperatures are more likely than below with some hot spells possible.
