Some early sunshine in the east, but skies will turn increasingly grey through the morning. Light showers will soon be replaced by a band of rain sweeping eastwards through the afternoon, heavy at times, and accompanied by strong, gusty winds. Maximum temperature 20 °C.
Tonight:
Spells of heavy rain will become gradually more infrequent through this evening, with dry periods developing for many overnight. Staying breezy, especially around the coasts. Minimum temperature 9 °C.
Sunday:
A bright day with blustery showers. Heavy, sometimes thundery downpours are expected throughout the day, interspersed with drier, sunnier spells. Feeling especially windy along the coast. Maximum temperature 20 °C.
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:
Scattered showers continue, giving a distinctly autumnal feel to the new working week. Longer spells of rain are expected at times, but there will be some breaks to sunshine too.
