Dry overnight with clear spells, a few mist and fog patches forming across parts of Cumbria. Chillier than Sunday night, with a rural grass frost possible in some prone spots. Minimum temperature 2 °C.
A dry and bright start on Tuesday morning but it will cloud over from the west during the afternoon with outbreaks of heavy rain reaching the region after dark. Maximum temperature 15 °C.
Early rain soon clearing to leave a mixture of sunny spells and showers on Wednesday. Becoming increasingly dry and bright from Thursday as high pressure develops. Temperatures near normal.
