Showery rain clearing south this evening. Mostly dry overnight, although showers may continue to affect Merseyside and Cheshire. Winds becoming light and turning cold as clear spells develop. Patchy rural frost and fog developing and perhaps a few icy patches. Minimum temperature -3 °C.
A mainly fine day with bright or sunny spells once any early fog has cleared. Scattered showers may affect Cumbrian coasts with rain sweeping southeast during the evening. Feeling chilly. Maximum temperature 6 °C.
Dry on Wednesday with fog patches slowly lifting. Wet and windy overnight then heavy blustery showers on Thursday, with coastal gales later. A calmer interlude on Friday. Turning much milder.
