Thickening cloud from the west brings outbreaks of rain into the early hours, this heavy and persistent at times. Increasingly breezy too, especially along the coast. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Saturday:

Widespread heavy showers continue to bring a risk of thunderstorms with some prolonged downpours at times. Turning brighter by the afternoon with some late afternoon sunshine. Breezy. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

A mixture of scattered showers and sunny spells through Sunday and into the new working week. Winds gradually easing, though occasionally breezy in any showers. Feeling warmer from Monday.
