    A band of rain and low cloud moving through the area early morning, turning heavy at times. The rain easing as the morning goes on, to become mainly dry by mid- afternoon with a few brighter spells. Blustery winds expected. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

    Tonight:

    Generally dry with variable cloud through the evening, and some clear skies overnight. Winds staying gusty, particularly downwind of any hills. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

    Thursday:

    Outbreaks of rain and low cloud spreading in through the morning, heaviest and most frequent in the west. Strong winds developing, with gales possible over the Pennines. Maximum temperature 23 °C.

    Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

    Unsettled and cloudy with blustery showers and longer spells of rain possible through the period, becoming heavy at times. Turning colder on Sunday.
