Area of rain and heavy thundery showers moves northward Saturday morning, further showers during the afternoon. Sunday and Monday likely seeing showers and sunny spells. Temperatures cooling over the weekend.

Any rainfall that does occur will probably be light and patchy, with most places staying dry. Temperatures will likely be above normal for the time of year and it could be hot at times in the southeast. In the north, probably more changeable, especially at first. Here, conditions are expected to be cloudier with some unsettled spells of weather at times, bringing some rain and perhaps strong winds. Temperatures are expected to be close to normal or slightly above.

Following high pressure brining mainly dry and warm weather across the UK, the weather during late June and early July is expected to turn more changeable, with spells of rain or showers probable for all parts at times. Rain or showers could be heavy and thundery, which is normal for the time of year.
