    A sunny start in North and East Highland, but showers on the west coast will become more widespread during the day, though more frequent in the Northwest Highlands. Inverness and Nairn brightening up again wiith sunny spells. Windy in northwest. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

    Tonight:

    North and East Highland becoming dry with some clear spells, and a touch of frost in a few spots. Cloudier in south and west with a few showers. Minimum temperature 1 °C.

    Thursday:

    Lochaber and Badenoch mostly cloudy with a few showers. The north and northwest brighter with sunny intervals. Moderate east or southeast breeze. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

    Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

    A changeable few days with further spells of rain spreading in from the Atlantic but also some brighter drier periods.
