This evening cloud thickens in the west, while localised frost develops across eastern areas where some brief clear spells could occur. Overnight outbreaks of rain and strengthening winds spread east. Minimum temperature -1 °C.

Sunday:

Rain, often heavy, and strong coastal winds gradually clear east and southeast Kent by mid-afternoon. Dry and brighter conditions follow, before a band of heavy showers quickly moves east. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Monday bright or sunny spells and scattered showers. Tuesday mostly dry with bright or sunny spells. Wednesday spells of rain are likely, and possibly becoming windy. Temperatures near average.

Showers or longer spells of rain as well as occasional strong winds are most likely as Atlantic low pressure systems dominate in the vicinity of the UK. Some heavy rain is likely in places, with some snow at times in the north, mainly on high ground. Temperatures varying from around average to cold at times, especially in the north. While unsettled weather is likely to dominate, there will be some drier interludes between weather systems. Later in the period, there is a chance that more prolonged drier and settled conditions may begin to develop.
