    South West England weather forecast

    Headline:

    Drier for most today but further very wet weather tomorrow.

    Today:

    Frost and fog gradually clearing to leave some weak winter sunshine. Cloudy and damp conditions perhaps pushing northwards across the east of the region and more general rain may arrive in west Cornwall by this evening. Feeling somewhat less mild. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

    Tonight:

    Showery rain, perhaps locally heavy, spreading eastwards this evening and overnight. Turning drier for most by the morning with clear spells. Blustery southerly winds for a time. Largely frost free. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

    Thursday:

    Rain, heavy at times spreading north across much of the region. However Cornwall and parts of west Devon likely to remain drier and brighter, with some showers developing here later. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

    Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

    Occasional showers on Friday and Saturday, these heavy in places. Mainly dry by Sunday but probably grey and murky for most with mist and fog possible. Winds becoming light.
