Rain will clear away this evening, then dry with clear periods for a time. Thickening cloud will bring rain across all parts later in the night. Freshening south to southwesterly winds. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Sunday:

Overnight rain soon clearing away. Then drier with a few showers for a time. Further rain will spread northeast in the afternoon. Strong southwesterly winds in the afternoon. Mild. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Any overnight rain soon clearing on Monday morning, then mainly dry although some showery rain possible in the west later. Dry on Tuesday and for most of Wednesday.

Much of this period looks like being largely dominated by high pressure, especially towards the south or southeast of the UK. This will mean many places seeing plenty of dry weather with variable cloud amounts and some sunshine, the best of this towards the south or southeast, but perhaps with some fog overnight. However, frontal systems are still likely to affect the north and west of the UK at times though, maybe also briefly affecting other parts, bringing some rain and strong winds, and perhaps a little snow to the high ground in the north. Temperatures will be near or above normal, although patchy overnight frost is still likely at times.

Little change at first, probably most unsettled in the west and northwest but drier and brighter toward the east and southeast. Lower confidence late-March but perhaps a trend toward more blocked and slow-moving weather patterns, although uncertain whether this will lead to cyclonic and so more unsettled weather or anticyclonic, more settled and maybe colder patterns in the vicinity of the UK. In general, some rain still probable but distribution of any wetter areas is extremely low confidence. Temperatures overall near or above average, perhaps with a slightly increasing chance this may trend colder towards the end of the month.
