Cloudy with rain across North Wales, this slowly sinking south overnight. Some heavier bursts are possible, with the rain turning readily to snow over the northern mountains later. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Friday:

Outbreaks of rain, falling as snow over the hills, throughout much of the day. Some breaks in between. A widespread frost developing overnight with some icy stretches. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Drier and brighter on Saturday after a frosty start. Sunshine turning hazy with rain and hill snow arriving later and into Sunday. A mixture of sunny spells and showers thereafter.

Some heavy rain is likely in places, with some snow at times in the north, mainly on high ground. Temperatures varying from around average to cold at times, especially in the north. While unsettled weather is likely to continue, there may be some drier interludes between weather systems. Later in the period, there is a chance that more prolonged drier and settled conditions may begin to develop.
