Variable cloud and bright spells on Monday with occasional, locally heavy showers. Showers will ease from the north late in the day. A rural frost possible overnight. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

A bright but crisp start on Tuesday, skies turning hazy into the afternoon with outbreaks rain likely from Wednesday, risk of some hill snow. Rain and sleet clearing on Thursday.

Some heavy rain is likely in places, with some snow probable at times, mainly on high ground in the north. These drier interludes will become increasingly likely and perhaps more prolonged through the period.
