It will be a largely fine evening with some bright or sunny spells to end the day. Cloud will gradually increase from the west overnight though, with some showery bursts of rain developing later, these perhaps heavy. A humid night. Minimum temperature 16 °C.

Sunday will start cloudy and showery, with some heavy rain in places. Skies should brighten a little from late morning, though the odd shower is still possible in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Monday looks bright and breezy with isolated showers. High pressure will then become more dominant. Remaining dry on Tuesday and Wednesday with lighter winds and increasingly warm spells of sunshine.

A broad northwest/southeast split in the weather looks most likely through much of this period. Towards the northwest, Atlantic frontal systems will bring occasional rain and cloudier skies at times, along with breezier conditions, though there should be some drier, brighter interludes too. Further south and east, high pressure will likely dominate with a fair amount of dry and sunny weather to be had. With this, there is a signal for increasing heat and humidity and the potential for another period of hot weather to develop by the second weekend of July, probably lasting into the start of the following week. Given the anticipated high temperatures, the chance of thunderstorms also increases, though widespread rainfall across southern areas looks unlikely.
