Rather cloudy, though some brighter spells breaking through, these mostly in sheltered eastern spots. Many may remain dry, though an odd shower can't be ruled out, particularly in the west. Breezy but feeling humid, especially when the sun appears. Maximum temperature 23 °C.

Tonight:

Some late sunshine is possible, with clear spells remaining between patchy low cloud overnight. Mostly dry but the continuing chance of an isolated shower. Winds easing slightly but feeling muggy. Minimum temperature 14 °C.

Sunday:

Reasonably cloudy overall but some brighter breaks in between a scattering of showers, occasionally on the sharp side. Feeling fresher than Saturday with a brisk breeze picking up again. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Showers becoming less frequent into next week with more sunny spells emerging. Winds falling lighter from Tuesday. Locally chilly nights initially but daytime and overnight temperatures climbing from midweek.

A broad northwest/southeast split in the weather looks most likely through much of this period. Towards the northwest, Atlantic frontal systems will bring occasional rain and cloudier skies at times, along with breezier conditions, though there should be some drier, brighter interludes too. Further south and east, high pressure will likely dominate with a fair amount of dry and sunny weather to be had. With this, there is a signal for increasing heat and humidity and the potential for another period of hot weather around the second weekend of July, and possibly lasting into the following week. Whilst a lot of dry weather is likely in the south, thunderstorms are possible at times, though widespread rainfall looks unlikely.

A continuation of the broad themes from earlier in the month at first, with high pressure probably dominating the south and lower pressure more favoured to affect the north and northwest. Temperatures are likely to end up above average overall with a continued, and perhaps higher than normal, chance of occasional hot spells, especially further to the southeast. However, by the turn of the month, there is a signal for perhaps more widely unsettled weather to develop, though this remains rather uncertain at this lead time.
