Becoming dry for most

This Evening and Tonight:

Initial showers soon moving away allowing for most areas to become dry for a time into the evening. A band of showery rain, heavy at times, then pushes east across the area towards dawn. Temperatures quickly falling. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Sunday:

Showers or spells of rain clear soon east, allowing for isolated light showers and sunny spells to develop. Rain arriving overnight. Breezy with temperatures close to or slightly below average. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Generally cloudy, mild and often windy. Monday and Tuesday some outbreaks of rain arrive but with drier and brighter spells in-between. Wednesday patchy rain is likely, probably becoming widespread later.

Changeable and at times unsettled weather is likely to continue into the start of this period, with low pressure dominating the UK. This means further showers or longer spells of rain at times. All parts could see some heavy rain, but it is likely that western areas will be wettest. Strong winds are likely at times, with gales possible in the west. Equally there should also be some drier or clearer interludes, these more prevalent further east. A transition to a less unsettled pattern is possible later in the period making drier interludes more common. Above average temperatures are most likely, with a reduced incidence of overnight frost and fog, compared to normal, especially at first.

A transition to a less unsettled pattern is possible through mid-November. With time, there is a greater chance of incidences of high pressure bringing more in the way of dry weather, also increasing the chances of overnight fog and frost. There may however still be periods of rain, showers, and stronger winds, especially in the west. Weather patterns are very uncertain during late November. Overall, near or above average temperatures are most likely though some colder spells are possible, especially should any prolonged settled spells develop.
