Any early rain in the east clearing, then dry for many with sunny periods and feeling fairly pleasant with light winds. Isolated showers may graze western coasts before heavier showers push eastwards during the evening. Freshening winds later. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudier this evening with showers pushing into the west. Turning wet and windy through the early hours with outbreaks of rain. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Sunday:

An unsettled start with outbreaks of rain, heaviest and most persistent over the moors. Somewhat drier into the afternoon through still drizzle in places. Windy. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Further spells of rain on Monday with lighter winds. Drier overall on Tuesday and Wednesday with higher pressure in charge. Staying mild with winds easing.

Much of this period looks like being largely dominated by high pressure, especially towards the south or southeast of the UK. This will mean many places seeing plenty of dry weather with variable cloud amounts and some sunshine, the best of this towards the south or southeast, but perhaps with some fog overnight. However, frontal systems are still likely to affect the north and west of the UK at times though, maybe also briefly affecting other parts, bringing some rain and strong winds, and perhaps a little snow to the high ground in the north. Temperatures will be near or above normal, although patchy overnight frost is still likely at times.

Little change at first, probably most unsettled in the west and northwest but drier and brighter toward the east and southeast. Lower confidence late-March but perhaps a trend toward more blocked and slow-moving weather patterns, although uncertain whether this will lead to cyclonic and so more unsettled weather or anti-cyclonic, more settled and maybe colder patterns in the vicinity of the UK. In general, some rain still probable but distribution of any wetter areas is extremely low confidence. Temperatures overall near or above average, perhaps with a slightly increasing chance this may trend colder toward the end of the month.
