Daytime showers easing this evening leaving a dry night with clear spells for a while. Turning chilly with a patchy frost before further cloud arrives from the southwest by dawn. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Tuesday:

A bright start in the east, but cloud and some patchy rain will gradually spread across the region. Remaining cloudy into the afternoon with some heavier rain arriving overnight. Breezy. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Further rain and strong winds on Wednesday, with sunshine and showers on Thursday. Showers more isolated on Friday. Feeling a little warmer than of late, especially in any sunshine.

This will bring showers or longer spells of rain at times, heaviest and most persistent in the northwest, together with some strong winds. The southeast is likely to be driest and brightest. Later in this period, conditions may become drier and more settled, perhaps more especially in the north or northwest, with the south possibly becoming the focus for showers or longer spells of rain. Temperatures will likely be near or slightly above average overall.
